Industrial reverse osmosis (RO) equipment

Industrial reverse osmosis (RO) equipment is used exclusively in the boiler water pretreatment area of power plants. The quality of the boiler feed water has to be very strict, as most electric boilers tend to operate at high pressure (> 700 psi [4.8 MPa]). To achieve this, industrial reverse osmosis (RO) equipment is followed by a type of “purification” (denim) polishing equipment designed to reduce solids, especially dissolved silica in feed water. This indicates that industrial reverse osmosis itself is not capable of providing the quality of boiler feed water required for high-pressure boilers.

Based on the performance of the industrial RO equipment (decrease in water quality and quantity), the scale of the polishing equipment will be determined for the demineralization of the power generation facility. Therefore, any problem with the RO device process will have serious implications for the performance of the denim. The sharp increase in costs with increased regeneration and acid / caustic use will arise as a result of the poor performance of denim. Additionally, the impact of the poor performance of industrial reverse osmosis equipment on power generating boilers could be severe and could ultimately lead to plant degradation and even damage to boilers and turbines. RO Design for a Power Generation Facility To understand reverse osmosis design for a power generation facility, four main components must be considered. Are:

  • part
  • Matrix (train)
  • Stage
  • Human

The industrial reverse osmosis component is the cornerstone of any reverse osmosis equipment system. It is the only component in which the reverse osmosis process occurs.

There are four main element designs:

Spiral Winding – The Most Popular Design for Water Filtration

Hollow Fiber – Very large membrane surface areas are possible in this design. It is used to desalinate seawater

Large Tube – Similar to shell and tube heat exchange in appearance and design. They are used in special food processing and wastewater treatment applications.

Flat Batten – Similar to a plate and frame heat exchanger. Used in food processing applications

Regardless of the element design, high pressure and flow are needed to force the penetration of pure water through the reverse osmosis membrane. Due to the need for high pressures, each component must be designed in such a way that the internal structures can withstand feedwater pressure of several hundred pounds per square inch. The number of items required will be determined by the amount of final product required per day, the net internet casino. Matrix Industrial RO Equipment is simply how items are grouped, that is, in series or parallel.

Industrial RO stage

  • The desired final water quality
  • The daily amount of water required
  • Inlet feed water quality
  • The cost of wastewater treatment
  • The type of feedwater treatment equipment.
